Is there a message for me?
Do you remember the Golden Records that were sent out into space? Dr. Sagan recruited friends from Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, or SETI as it’s commonly known, to determine what the messages should say. These messages were created on two Golden Records, along with a record player, and they were placed on board the satellites; Voyager 1 and Voyager 2.
These records contained many things but you’ll want to especially hear what President Jimmy Carter had to say. President Carter presents a hope, a hope for all mankind. What kind of hopes do you have for the world? This is a big question.
What if you could ask the Universe anything? What would you ask? What messages would you be interested in sending? What would you hope for? What messages would be interested in receiving?

What if you could ask the Universe anything? What would you ask? What messages would you be interested in sending? What would you hope for?
How can you send and receive messages with the Universe?
Do you remember the Golden Records that were sent out into space?
Back in 1976, the chief engineer at Jet Propulsion Laboratories lead a large team to build two unmanned spacecraft’s for interstellar voyage. If you remember they’re called, Voyager 1 and Voyager 2. The chief engineer, at the last minute, wanted to send messages from Earth beyond our Universe for potential contact with other civilizations. He needed some help, so he asked the well-known astrophysicist Carl Sagan to construct the messages.
Dr. Sagan in turn, recruited some friends from the organization, Search for Extratrerrestrial Intelligence, or SETI as it’s commonly known, to determine what the messages should say. Ultimately, a whole team orchestrated the contents of the records that had to be completed in six months. These messages were created on Golden Records, along with a record player, and they were placed on board Voyager 1 and Voyager 2.
Many things were included on the records. Things like; 116 images, a variety of natural sounds like the ocean surf, whales, dolphins, birds, wind and thunder. Music was also included from many different cultures plus spoken greetings from fifty-nine languages. What wasn’t allowed on the record, although it was suggested, were pictures of the naked anatomy of a man and a woman.
I think this last fact is really funny. I guess we’re still trying to cover ourselves with fig leaves like in the garden or Eden. Or maybe we’re too embarrassed to really reveal ourselves to the Universe and beyond. Like all of our communications, what we say and what we don’t, conveys a lot.
Onboard Voyager 1 and Voyager 2, the Golden Records also contained a message from President Jimmy Carter of the United States. I think you’ll find what he said very thought-provoking.
He said;
“…This is a present from a small distant world, a token of our sounds, our science, our images, our music, our thoughts, and our feelings. We are attempting to survive our time so we may live into yours. We hope someday, having solved the problems we face, to join a community of galactic civilizations. This record represents our hope and our determination, and our good will in a vast and awesome universe.”
President Carter shares a lot in his letter to the Universe. It can’t be missed that his biggest concern was, “that we are attempting to survive.” It’s a pretty interesting observation that the world’s most powerful man is in essence, saying, “I hope we can survive.” This is a pretty clear message.
It’s a pretty clear problem. But then President Carter goes on to share his hope to join a community beyond our own. It’s quite a dream. It’s quite a message.
If you were asked to compose an interstellar message, like what was asked of Carl Sagan and his team for the Golden Records, what would you say? What would you ask? What would you hope for?
What is your message? I present this question before you seriously.
What if you could ask the Universe anything? What would it be? How valuable would the answers be?
I tell you what, put that thought on hold for a minute and we’ll come back to your questions and your messages in a little while.
Right now, let’s flip this whole concept upside down… Instead of humanity sending out our messages to another civilization, or race, on a set of Golden Records let’s presume they’ve sent some messages to us. What if an all-powerful being sent you very specific messages from billions and billions of years ago? Are you interested in hearing or seeing what they have to say?
What if someone was trying to reach you? What if they really wanted you to see, hear, feel and remember certain things that were contained in a series of special messages? How important would this information be? I believe if you received such as message, that you would never forget what it said.
Just imagine if you were the one that discovered the note. It might feel unbelievable to hold such a timeless message. Can you sense your excitement? You might even think it utterly impossible to receive such an extraordinary communication.
But… What if these messages from the Universe, were all around you? What if some of them shared insight to our survival? What if they shared messages of hope for our civilization? What if these messages were also very personal to you?
How would respond if these messages were real? This in itself is pretty mind blowing.
If you don’t already know, let me be the first to tell you, that we are surrounded by millions of these kinds messages. They are very specific. And they are very repetitive, perhaps to ensure that we can’t miss them. Let me share with you just one, just one message of this kind.
It’s called the Golden Ratio.
Have you ever heard of it? Fascinatingly, most people today have heard of the term but they have absolutely no idea what it means. Okay, I remember well, being one of those people. So, let me remind you again what it means, in simple terms. The Golden Ratio is an observation of space and proportion.
The Golden Ratio, is a mathematical relationship observed in geometry or from a space or design perspective. The actual numeric value, or ratio, is 1.1618 It’s a pattern, that can be seen in countless places. For example, if you’ve ever seen a top down satellite picture of a hurricane, then you’re observed the golden ratio.
There’s a geometric relationship in the way the hurricane curls and winds up in the way that it does. It’s very specific. It’s even easy to calculate. But most of all, it’s very pleasing to the eye.
Let me share with you other places you can see the Golden Ratio in nature. You don’t have to go far, as this pattern is recurring everywhere. Look at a pinecone; a pineapple or a nautilus shell and they all support the same ratio. Can you picture this shape in your mind’s eye?
The Golden Ratio can also be observed in the Milky Way. Our spiral galaxy winds up in the same proportion that the hurricane does. Did you know that our DNA has the same spatial relationship? Sure does! And of course, any garden rose is a perfect example of the Golden Ratio too.
This is super fascinating, right? Are these facts coincidence? Maybe these are big clues the Universe is giving us with its special messages using the Golden Ratio. Have you ever heard of the Divine Proportion?
It’s just another name for the Golden Ratio. Did you know that your body is a perfect place to find this relationship? Actually it is. You can see it in the ordered relationship between your mouth, eyes and the bottom of your chin. Oh, and just to keep it super interesting, this Golden Ratio is seen as you look in at the front of your face and also from the side view as if you took a profile picture. That’s pretty cool, right?
Let’s see the Golden Ratio some more! Take your hand and create a fist. As you look from the side, you will see the same pattern and ratio made with your forefinger. It actually extends to the rest of your hand.
Let me share with you a different kind of example using your body. This example of proportion doesn’t twist. Still, the Golden Ratio works in a linear fashion too. If you took a picture of your arm, you could measure the distance between your elbow and wrist, and compare it to the distance between your wrist and your middle finger and you’d have the Golden Ratio again.
A violin has this same linear ratio. Stradivari used the Golden Ratio to make his violins in the same proportion as your elbow to wrist and wrist to your middle finger. The Golden Ratio creates superior acoustics and tonal qualities. For the audiophile, it can actually be heard. It’s very pleasing and is said to minimize acoustic resonance and enhance the musical quality.
Well, since you’re listening. Why don’t I play you a couple of musical examples that utilize the Golden Ratio? This first piece is Mozart’s Sonata n. 1 in C Major and according to mathematician John F. Putz, in the first movement of the Sonata, for instance, the exposition and the recapitulation and development consist of 38 and 62 measures, respectively which again support the mathematics of the Golden Ratio.
Let’s hear another musical example. You’ll instantly recognize this one. It has been presented that the golden ratio is also found here in in the first movement of Beethoven’s fifth. What do think?
Do you think the Universe is giving you repeated messages in observation of the Golden Ratio? Many think so. Truthfully, this is just ONE observation. What if the Universe was sending you endless messages?
Let’s switch everything back around again. This time, instead of the Universe sending you messages; now, it’s your turn to construct your own messages and send them out to the Universe like we did on Voyager 1 and 2 with the Golden Records. What do you want to say?
Have you given any more thought to what your messages or questions might be? Imagine being able to ask anything. What would you ask? One day on a beach in Malibu, CA I proposed such as question.
This was long before my spiritual awareness. It was a weekday and there was hardly anyone at the beach, and I felt wonderfully connected to the ocean spray, the seagulls and the slight foggy overcast. I had slipped into my own little world. After walking the shoreline I started writing a message in the sand.
I used my heel to make three enormous letters. It was a question. The question was “Why?” When I was done, I stood back and looked at the twenty feet tall letters in the wet sand.
To some extent, it felt like I was in a dream. I realized the enormous size of the letters, and that I obviously wanted the question to be seen. It was one of my first questions. I wanted to know “why?” about a great number of things, and maybe I secretly hoped there would be an answer.
What about you? What question or message would you present to the Universe? If you think you have nothing to say, think again. You may simply ask, do you have a message for me?
This question isn’t asked nearly enough. To some degree, I know because professionally I don’t hear it asked that often. You’d think if you wanted a message that you’d check in to find out if you had any mail. Kind of like checking your mailbox to see if you received anything.
Let’s get back to the question, does the Universe have a message for you?
You bet it does.
If anyone, is going to find our Golden Records placed on the Voyager 1 and 2 they’re going to have to really really know have to know how to find a needle in a haystack. I would expect the odds of sending a bottled message in the ocean and someone reading it would be much better than the odds of getting those Golden Records played. But you may be surprised. Getting a message to the Universe and getting answers may not be all that complicated at all.
What if I told you we all have that means today? In fact, there are many ways that you can access Source or the Universe. But what questions or messages do you propose? What messages does the Universe have for you?
Why don’t I share this channeled message and see what transpires for you as a result.
Mankind’s desire to send out Golden Records with messages to other advanced civilizations with intent to connect with us as a galactic community is quite a hope. Perhaps if we want to survive, we need to first listen to the Galactic messages that have been already sent to us? Maybe there’s a lot more to the Golden Ratio than we currently understand.
What if the Golden Ratio was sent to us billions and billions of years ago from a Higher Source? What if there were scores and scores of other messages that were also sent to us? What if there was a direct means of connecting and communicating with Source, using our own language?
